The allure of the Frenchwoman—sexy, sophisticated, flirtatious, and glamorous—is legendary. More than an eye for fashion or a taste for elegance, the French je ne sais quoi embodies the essential ingredients for looking and feeling beautiful. With wit, whimsy, and wonder, British expatriate Helena Frith Powell uncovers the secrets of chic living in All You Need to Be Impossibly French, a cheeky guide to releasing your inner Frenchwoman. Delving deep into a mysterious realm of face creams, silk lingerie, and shopping- as-exercise, Powell reveals how French women stay impossibly thin and irresistibly sexy by achieving the maximum effect from the minimum amount of effort. Forget diet and inspiration books and style guides—this is all you need to embrace the wisdom of French living, and learn how to turn every day into la petite aventure.

What Customers Say About All You Need to Be Impossibly French: A Witty Investigation into the Lives, Lusts, and Little Secrets of French Women:

Instead of exploring the mystique of French women and the secrets to their confidence and flair, it goes on incessantly about waxing, matching underwear, dieting, and how thin (elite) French women are. The book opens so energetically. I've been to France and I felt that her obsessing over the "perfectness" of French women was over-the-top, and all it left me was feeling like I was reading a Cosmo article or some other trashy women's magazine. The first few pages invite me into a world of self-discovery and fun. However, once things got going, I just felt like I was reading the diary of an insanely insecure woman living in France. If you want to explore France and the spirit of the women there, steer clear of this book. Pick up one by Debra Ollivier or Julia Child's 'My Life in France.'
So much great info on how to be french, too. Great, great book. It's one of those that you just want to consume. I really used the material inside to tweat my dating game just a bit. Overall, it was a fun read that I'd recommend to anyone, along with What French Women Know: About Love, Sex, and Other Matters of the Heart and Mind.
She agreed with some of things in the book. I couldn't put the book down for the past 3 days. I showed a co worker of mine who has visted france. But even so , it was a fun book. Some books like this can be stupid or boring but i enjoyed and glad to added it to my library.
This is an easy read but makes some major and unique points that apply to every woman. I have read it, passed it on, and bought it for gifts. Fun to waltz through.
I love this book. But this book pulls me right back into all the funny, stunning little secrets every women NEEDS. I lived in Europe many years and moved to the Caribbean last year. I felt so distant from anything merely related to style. This is not a "want", this is a "need".
